Growing up in a broken home, I knew the sting of struggle and the weight of pain. As one of five siblings raised by a single parent, we had to share what little we had. Resources were scarce, but our resilience and determination kept us going.
Despite the challenges, I’ve always been driven to help others. Empathy is a gift I’ve been blessed with, and I feel deeply for those in need. However, limited resources often hindered my ability to make a meaningful impact.
But I refused to let my circumstances define me. I’ve come a long way since my difficult childhood, and I’m determined to use my experiences to empower others. The sight of young people wasting their potential on the streets, without guidance or support, breaks my heart. I knew I had to act.
After much reflection, I launched a sole-funded initiative (Helping Hearts Foundation) aimed at making a positive difference in my community. My goal is to bring smiles to sad faces, to offer hope where it’s been lost. I’m praying for sponsors to come on board and support my efforts.
For me, giving back is not just about donating resources; it’s about sharing love, kindness, and compassion. It’s about being a beacon of hope in a world that often seems dark. I believe that together, we can create a brighter future for those around us.
