Top 10 African countries with the highest number of international students in the USA

The rate at which Ghanaian students leave the country to further their education is on the rise every year. According to the Open Doors report in International Education Exchange, Ghana has secured the second spot for the largest number of international students in the United States, with 9,394 students.

The list below features African Countries with a large number of students abroad especially in the United States of America. Nigeria comes first with a total number of 20,029 students population abroad. Ghana has secured the second position for the second consecutive time with a total number of 9,394 students travelling to the USA in 2024.
