After failing to qualify the Black Stars of Ghana for the African Cup of Nations for the first time in 20 years, Black Stars head Coach Otoo Addo is set to continue his role as Ghana’s National team Coach.
Otoo Addo during the Ghana Football Association executive council meeting stated some reasons for the failure to qualify the Black Stars of Ghana for the 2025 AFCON.
Otto Addo outlined that the injuries of some key players in the Ghana National Team and the late arrival of players to camp are some of the reasons why the Black Stars failed to qualify for the AFCON. He also concluded that there should be additional backroom staff to the already existing ones to help improve the team’s performance.
Ghana was eliminated from the 2025 AFCON Qualifiers after failing to win a game in the group consisting of Angola, Niger and Sudan. The team will now turn attention to the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
