Ghana’s Jordan Ayew was on the scoresheet as Leicester City succumbed to a 1-1 defeat to Chelsea in the English Premier Matchday 12 encounter at the King Power Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Chelsea’s Nicholas Jackson scored first for the away team in the 15th minute before Enzo Fernandes added the second goal for Chelsea in the 75th minute.
Bobby De Cordova Reid was brought down in the Chelsea box after he attempted to score a goal. The referee initially decided to make play continue but after a review of the Video Assistant Referee, Leicester City were awarded a penalty.
Jordan Ayew stepped up to take the penalty and slotted the ball into the left bottom corner of the net sending Chelsea Goalkeeper Robert Sanchez the wrong way.
The Ghanaian has now scored his third English Premier League Goal of the season for the Foxes since joining them before the start of the season.
