West Africa’s second largest flyover commissioned by Akuffo Addo

President Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo has today commissioned the Flower Pot which is currently West Africa’s second-longest flyover interchange.

The Project began in March 2017 under the Akuffo Addo-led administration and contracted to China Railway No. 5 Engineering Limited with Dekoe Company a limited serving as the Consultant for 93 months.

The Project was funded by Afrexem Bank and the Government of Ghana at a Budget of GHS 677,839,999.5. The Flower Pot interchange’s main purpose is to ease the congestion of Traffic on the Accra Tema Motorway.

Road users expressed their joy during the commissioning of the interchange as some explained that the project is going to reduce the burden of traffic congestion in the city of Accra.

President Akuffo Addo also explained that the state-of-the-art infrastructure is a symbol of commitment to ensuring that every Ghanaian experiences the tangible benefits of Governance.
