Niger beat Sudan to boost Ghana’s chances of securing AFCON 2025 Qualification.

The Niger National team thrashed Sudanese opponents 4-0 in the Matchday 5 encounter of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers on Thursday.

The game played in Togolese Capital Lome was a must-win game for Suadan as they needed victory to ensure their qualification to the 2025 African Cup of Nations to be hosted by Morroco.

Kryvbas Forward Daniel Sossah scored a brace for Niger in the 6th and 46th minute as Yusef Oumaru and Ousseni Badamassi added the other two goals as the La Mena of Niger secured a vital three points against Sudan on a Neutral ground.

The win today has boosted Nigers chances of qualifying for the AFCON 2025 with one more game to play against Ghana away from Home.  Niger now lies in the 3rd position with 4 points from 5 games played. They sit above Ghana who has a game in hand and below table-toppers Angola who has already secured qualification for the tournament.

The win against Sudan today means the Black Stars have a chance of securing qualification to the AFCON 2025 in Morocco if they can secure all three points against Angola tomorrow in Luanda.
