After the successful completion of the UEFA Certificate in Football Management, Ghanaians have started calling for the appointment of former Ghana player Micheal Essien as the new head coach for the Black Stars of Ghana.
Micheal Essien currently the Assistant Coach of Denmark Club FC Nodjaedlland since 2020 has successfully bagged a UEFA Certificate and is now eligible to be the Head Coach of any team.
After posting this achievement on his X handle, some Ghanaians took to his Social media account advising him to take over the head Ciach role of the Senior National Team of Ghana from Otoo Addo who has not had a good time since his appointment.
During his playing days, he played for clubs like Bastia, Lyon, Chelsea, Real Madrid, AC Milan, Panathinaikos, Persib Bandung and Sabail in 2020 before finally hanging his boots.
The former Chelsea midfielder started his National Team Career from 2002 to 2014 where he made 59 appearances. He went through all the ranks of international football from the U-17 to the Senior team level. He featured in the 2006, 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cup for the Black Stars before he retired from the national team.
