Most Ghanaian players have made lucrative moves to the English Premier League in recent times. Some do so for the attention or competitiveness of the league, and some do so for the huge sums of money invested by clubs in players of various teams in the league.
In this article, we examine the updated salaries of some Black Stars players in the English Premier League for the 2024/25 season. Please note that the write-up is not in chronological order.
MOHAMMED KUDUS – The Ghanaian joined West Ham United from Dutch side Ajax and signed a five-year deal with the Hammers. The Ghanaian signed a contract worth 21,546,720 euros and is earning an average annual salary of 430,934.40 euros.
JORDAN AYEW – Jordan Ayew joined the Foxes before the start of the 2024/25 season from Crystal Palace. The attacker has been impressive so far at the King Power Stadium. According to multiple sources Ayew earns £25,000-a-week which makes him one of the lowest earners at Leicester City.
ABDUL FATAWU ISSAHAKU – In 2024 Leicester City activated the release clause of Abdul Fatawu Issahaku from Sporting CP and signed him on a five-year deal after serving his loan term. Fatawu is currently earning a base salary of 454,480 euros at the King Power Stadium.
ANTOINE SEMENYO – The Bournemouth attacker earns £48,000 per week and £2,496,000 per year playing for Bournemouth. His impressive performance has attracted interest from other clubs, but Semenyo has a deal with the Cherries until 2027.
JEFFERY SCHLUPP – In 2017, Jeffery Schlupp signed for Crystal Palace after playing for clubs like Leicester City and Brentford. he has been with the club until now and earns a salary of £60,000 per week and £3,120,000 per year.
TARIQ LAMPTEY – the Brighton and Hove Albion defender currently earns £42,000 per week and £2,184,000 per year. The right winger signed for Brighton in 2020 and is expected to be with the club until 2025.
KAMALDEEN SULEMANA – in 2023 Kamaldeen joined Southampton from Renais at a fee of 9,569,040 euros. Despite suffering many injuries, the winger earns a base salary of 1,914,224 euros annually.
THOMAS PARTEY – the midfielder whose contract with Arsenal is expected to expire in June 2025 after joining them in 2020 from Athletico Madrid receives a base salary of £10,400,000 for the 2024-2025 Season, or £200,000 per week.
