Keta Senior High School located in the Volta Region of Ghana has progressed to the finals of the 2024 edition of the National Science and Math quiz competition after beating Koforidua Senior High Technical School and Tamale Senior High School.
KETASCO represented by Perpetual Sefakor Gakpetor and Clinton Edem Adorsoo had to battle it out from the first to the fifth round for a spot in the finals of the NSMQ. The duo led the first round with 19 points. 5 points off Tamasco who came second in the first round and kSHTS’s 9 points.
In the second round, Ahmed and Gabriel gave hope to Koforidua Senior High Technical School as they emerged victorious with 17 points closely followed by Ketasco’s 16 points and Tamasco’s 14 points. Both Kshts and Tamasco scored 3/10 marks in the third round which is the problem of the day leaving Ketasco with 0/10 marks.
ketasco regained their composure in the fourth round as they recorded 29 points against 27 and 21 points of kshts and Tamasco respectively. The qualification to the final was sealed in the fifth and final round where Ketasco answered as many riddles as they could securing them 38 points going into yet another final.
