Saint Augustine’s College and Bishop Herman College both won their respective contest to progress to the quarter-final stages of the 2024 National Science and Math Quiz (NSMQ) ongoing at the University of Cape Coast in the central region of Ghana.
The central regional-based school competed against T.I Amass Senior High School from Kumasi and the Queen of Peace Senior High School. After a fiercely contested battle, St. Augustine College emerged victorious amassing 73 points as T.I Amass and Queen of Peace had 45 points and 15 points respectively.
In another contest that happened at the SGC Auditorium, Volta region Bishop Herman College also progressed to the quarter-final stages after a victory over Konongo Odumase SHS and Wallahs Academy.
Bishop Herman College was handed a tough battle against Konongo Odumase SHS, but they managed to sneak their way through the quarter-final stage with just a point at the end of the competition.
BIHECO recorded 49 points at the end of the contest whiles Konongo Odumase followed closely with 48 points. Wallahs Academy’s 32 points could not see them make it to the quarter-final stages of this year’s NSMQ.
