The English football federation has appointed former Chelsea and Bayern Munchen Manager Thomas Tuchel as the new head coach of the England national Men’s football team. The German tactician has been without a club since being sacked as Bayern Munich’s head coach in the 2023/24 season.
Thomas Tuchel will replace former England boss Greth Southgate for 18 months as the new coach of the Three Lions of England. The 51-year-old will be the third manager to coach the England men’s national team who is not from the country after Sven-Goran.
The newly appointed English national team coach will officially start working with his new team on January 1st, 2025. According to the contract signed, he will be given an additional bonus if he is able to win the FIFA World Cup with the Three Lions of England.
The newly appointed England manager won the DFB Pokal with Borussia Dortmund, the French Ligue 1 with Paris Saint-German, and the UEFA Champions League with Chelsea in the 2020/21 season.
