Accra Hearts of Oak has recorded their first away victory of the season after a 2-1 win over Ghana Premier League debutants Young Apostles Football Club at the Wenchi Sports Stadium.
The Phobia Boys before today’s game had failed to win an away game in the Ghana Premier League this season after recording a 2-0 loss against Kpando Hearts of Lions and securing a draw against Nations Football Club.
Defender Emmanuel Amankwah opened the scoring for Accra Hearts of Oak in the 50th minute before Young Apostles FC substitute Samuel Prempeh equalized with a wonderful bicycle kick in the 84th minute.
Just two minutes later after the Young Apostles equalizer, Hamza Issah scored again for Accra Hearts of Oak after a wonderful pattern of play from the Rainbow Boys. The team has now secured their second victory of the season after a win against Bechem United on Matchday 3.
Hearts of Oak will now turn their attention to the Ghana Premier League Week 7 game against Regional Rival Dreams FC. The team now occupies the 8th position in the Ghana Premier League week 8 points after Matchday 6.
