GodwinAward-winning Ghanaian artist Amerado, born Derrick Sarfo Kantanka has recently discussed why he declined to feature on a song by legendary singer Barima Sidney.
In an interview on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z with Kwame Dadzie, Amerado explained that inspiration plays a crucial role in his decision to collaborate on tracks. He shared that although he liked the song Barima Sidney sent him, he felt it wasn’t one he could deliver well.
“Barima Sidney sent me a song, I loved it. I spoke with my team that I thought the song was not one that I could really deliver well on, so I requested for a remix of one of his monster hits, but that couldn’t happen too,” he shared.
The ‘Kweku Ananse’ singer further emphasized that when inspiration is missing, he prefers not to take on features.
