The Confederation of African Football has approved the Cape Coast Sports Stadium to host the 2025 African Cup of Nations Qualifiers between Ghana and Sudan.
Months ago, the Ghana Football Association confirmed that the Baba Yara Sports Stadium which for some time has been hosting Black Stars games has been rejected by CAF due to the poor nature of the pitch and some facilities in the Stadium.
The rejection left the GFA with no option but to look for a Stadium outside the shores of Ghana to host the Game between the Balck Stars of Ghana and the Sudanese National team. According to multiple reports, CAF has made a U-turn and accepted the Cape Coast Stadium after a second inspection of the facility.
The Black Stars of Ghana will face Sudan on October 11. Ghana has recorded 2 draws and currently sits 3rd in Group F with 2 points Behind Angola, Sudan and above Niger.
