Ghanaian midfielder Elisha Owusu scored and recorded an assist as his club Auxerre beat Breast in the French Ligue One week 6 encounter at the Stade De l’Abbe Deschamps in France.
The 26-year-old scored the first goal of the game for the home team in the 26th minute after his left-footed shot from the center of the box went straight into the net of the visiting team.
Just a few minutes before the first-half whistle Edmilson Fernandes(Brest) was a victim of a handball in his area as a penalty was awarded to AJ Auxerre in the 37th minute. Brazilian international Jubal scored from the penalty kick to make the scoreline 2-0 in favor of the home team.
Hamad Traore scored the third goal for Auxerre in the 59th minute after he fired home with his right foot a shot into the net assisted by Elisha Owusu. The Ghanaian recorded 44 touches and made 19 out of 25 accurate passes. He won 2 fouls for his team and won 6 out of 10 Ground duels throughout the game.
Auxerre has now secured their second win of the season and currently has 6 points from 6 games played so far.
