At Maximum Joy Foundation (MJF), we are committed to ensuring no girl misses school because of a lack of basic necessities like sanitary pads. This month, we launched our Pad Project at Kokonuru Basic School a crucial first step in our mission to eradicate period poverty.
I had the privilege of speaking with the girls about menstrual hygiene, empowering them to embrace their womanhood with confidence and dignity. Seeing the smiles on their faces and the spark of empowerment in their eyes was a reminder that change starts with access and education.
This is only the beginning. We’ll be extending our reach to new schools every month, giving more young girls the resources they need to stay in school, continue learning, and chase their dreams—unhindered by the natural process of menstruation.
