According to reports gathered by FlashGhana.com, the Black Stars of Ghana will host Sudan at the Benghazi Martyrs Stadium in Libya for the fourth round of the 2025 African Cup of Nations Qualifiers.
Ghana will be playing the game away from home due to the country’s inability to provide a CAF Standard Stadium for the 2025 AFCON Qualifiers.
The Confederation of African Football after Ghana’s 1-0 loss to Angola in the second round of the AFCON Qualifier revoked Ghana’d license to use the Baba Yara Sports Stadium for the CAF Games due to the inability of the pitch to meet the required standard.
The Ghana Football Association has now settled on Libya’s Benghazi Martyrs Stadium to host Black Stars home games till the Baba Yara Sports Stadium or any other Ghanaian Stadium meets the required CAF Standard.
The Black Stars will take on the Sudanese National team led by Ghanaian Coach Kwesi Appiah on Monday, October 7 2024 before travelling for the return leg on October 14, 2024.
Ghana now lies in the 3rd position in Group F with 1 point after a loss against Angola and a draw against Niger. Angola tops the Group with 6 points above Sudan in second position with 3 points.
