Richard Ofori close to joining South African Giants Amazulu

Former Black Stars Goalkeeper Richard Ofori is close to signing for South African Premier League Side Amazulu Football Club as a free agent.

The Ghanaian started his football career for Ghanaian side Wa All Stars in 2012. He was with the club until 2017 when he made a move to South African Side Maritzburg United from 2018 to 2020.

His impressive performance with Maritzburg United landed him a deal with Orlando Pirates where he stayed with the club for 4 years (2020-2024) making 35 appearances for the Buccaneers before the expiration of his contract.

The 30-year-old made his Ghana U20 National team appearance in 2013 before being transitioned to the U-23 team in 2015 and subsequently the Black Stars of  Ghana in 2016 where he made his debut appearance for the Black Stars in the 2017 African Cup of Nations Qualifiers.

The 2022 MTN 8 runners-up are hoping to boost their goalkeeping department with the signing of Free agent Richard Ofori ahead of the 2024/25 Dstv Premier League Season.
