Accra Hearts Oak recorded their first win in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League against Bechem United at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
The Rainbow Boys had previously recorded a loss in their first game of the league season against debutante Basake Holy Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium. Coach Abubakar Ouattara’s team recorded another loss against Kpando Hearts of Lions in a Week 2 encounter at the Kpando Sports Stadium.
Abubakar Ouattara was on fire as he needed a win in today’s encounter to save his job as Hearts of Oak Head Coach. Ransford Mensah scored from a free kick in the 51st minute to put the Phobias in front after the first half of the game ended goalless

Hamza Issah scored another goal for Hearts of Oak in the 72ne minute after he headed home a cross swing into Bechem United’s 18-yard box. The win means Hearts of Oak has secured their first three points of the season after two consecutive Ghana Premier League losses.
Hearts of Oak has now jumped to the 10th position of the League table after 3 games played. The team will travel to face Nations Football Club in the week 4 encounter at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Stadium.
