The Black Princesses of Ghana were held to a 2-2 against South Korea in an international friendly game ahead of the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Columbia.
The Black Princesses of Ghana came from a goal down to equalize 1-1 through Stella Nyamekye just a few minutes before the First Half Whistle.
Coach Yusif Basigi made some changes before the start of the second half they pushed to go ahead for the first time in the game. Unfortunately for Ghana, defender Alexandria Tay brought down a South Korean attacker as the Black Princesses conceded a Penalty.
South Korea scored from the Penalty Kick but the Black Princesses replied quickly as Jennifer Owusuaa leveled for Ghana to make the scoreline 2-2.
The FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup is scheduled to kick off from Saturday, August 31 to September 22 in Columbia. Ghana will lock horns in Group E against New Zealand, Austria and Japan.
