According to the President of the Ghana Football Association, he stated at the GFA Congress held in Prampram the Association has taken a huge step in the introduction of Video Assistant Referee in Ghana.
The Ghana Football Association assured Ghanaians that the VAR would be introduced in the country’s top-flight football League before the 2023/24 season but all efforts to do so proved futile.
President Kurt Edwin Simon Okraku has once again stated that the Association is doing everything possible with FIFA to introduce the Video Assistant Referee in Ghana. This new development is due to the rapid introduction of Technology in some leagues in Africa.
Mauritania is the latest African Country to introduce VAR in their local league as it has already been implemented in other countries like Morocco, South Africa, and Egypt.
