Ghana’s 2023/24 Premier League Champions FC Samartex has qualified for the second Preliminary Roynd of the 2024/25 CAF Champions League after recording a 1-0 victory over Victoria United at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The Timber Giants previously won 1-0 in the first-leg encounter in Cameroon before earning a vital 1-0 hard-fought win to make the scoreline 2-0 on aggregate subsequently progressing to the next stage of the Competition.
Midfielder Issac Afful scored the only goal of the game in the 8th minute to seal victory for FC Samartex against Victoria United of Cameroon. The Timber Giants will now face Raja Casablanca of Morocco who also recorded a 7-1 aggregate scoreline over ASGNN of Niger.
